
Pawning Terms and Conditions
- Tinson is the trading name of NHD Group Pty.Ltd A.C.N 062 339 306 which is a Registered Second-Hand Dealer and Pawnbroker No. 3015 in the State of Victoria with an address at 276A Springvale Road, Springvale 3171 Victoria. Within these terms and conditions the word “you” “your property” represents the borrower and the words “we, our, us” represents Tinson as the lender.
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and are the basis for the establishment of relations between “you” and “us”.
- Our provisional offer is based on your original pledge description, on the assumption that the description provided is completely accurate, we value the pledge in good faith as falls within prevailing market rates and according to accepted industry standards.
- Our provisional offer is not contractually binding.
- Upon receiving your pledge, it will be compared to your original online or verbal description to confirm if they match.
- By sending us your property you agree to us testing the Jewellery. Your gold will be tested to recognized industry standards and you accept that the process of determining a value involves placing certain acids on the gold or Jewellery which can leave marks and staining.
- If we find a variation in your original online or verbal description which affects the valuation of the pledge, we reserve the right to adjust the loan offer either upwards or downwards, depending on our valuation compared with your original description.
- Conditional loan offers are subject to contract, and are not legally binding until after we have physically inspected the pledged items.
- We will need to identify you, we only need copies no originals to be sent, you will need to provide one proof of photo ID. Such as Passport, Drivers Licence, Proof of Age card etc. and if no photos we require two government issued documentations such as Heath Care card, Medicare, Birth Certificate, Pension Card, Marriage Certificate etc. and one proof of current home address from Utilities Bill such as Gas, or Electricity or bank statements etc. that is not more then three months old. These copies may be sent/fax/email to us via our contact details.
- The loan period is one month; you may settle the loan at any time before the one month term or choose to extend the loan further by paying our stated monthly charges as indicated in the pledge ticket that was sent out to you. As long as the legally required seven day holding period has expired. If you decided to redeem your loan, we will calculate the interest owing with the loan amount to give you a settlement figure.
- You warrant and represent that Jewellery pledged are your own property, free of all encumbrances of any kind, and you are not under the age of 18 years.
- When on our premise, your Jewellery are kept secure and held in our safe at all times during the period of the loan, but note that your goods will not be insured while they are with us, if required please arrange your own insurance for them.
- On shipping your pledged goods back to you, should any claims be made for the loss or damage of the returned Jewellery, you accept that we will only be liable for the loan amount, and no further amount will be entered into.
- Should you fail to pay our monthly charges and after a reasonable grace period, we will Endeavour to sell your Jewellery to recover the money lent to you plus any outstanding interest charges, and if any money is left over, we will notify you according to the terms on the back of the pledge ticket that was sent to you.
